Structured injury prevention in youth football in Mainfranken

Injuries in youth football are rarely a coincidence.

Growth, training load and game pace place high physical demands on young players.
What matters is not just performance – but how resilient the body is under game conditions.

AXIS analyzes this resilience in a structured, sports medicine-based and practical way.

The focus is not on individual test results,
but that Patterns of stress processing.

Our system

AXIS analyzes three crucial areas

mobility

Range of motion of the joints as the basis for safe movements

Reactivity

Ability to quickly absorb forces during landings and changes of direction

Motion control

Stability of the leg axis under dynamic load

What you will receive

The result of the analysis is not a number – but a clear recommendation for action.

Traffic light assessment of load capacity

A clear assessment of the current resilience

  • understandable evaluation of the test results
  • Assessment of potential risk patterns
  • Guidance for players, parents and coaches

Training priorities

Specific starting points for training.

  • Focus areas for mobility, reactive strength or movement control
  • Instructions for athletic or individual training
  • Prioritization of the most important development areas

Re-test for developmental monitoring

Making changes visible over time.
  • Comparison of results after training phase
  • Classification of progress or abnormalities
  • Adjusting training priorities

Trust & Boundaries

Medical safety

All tests are based on procedures recognized in sports medicine.

In the event of abnormal findings, a specific recommendation will be made for further sports medicine evaluation.
This means the analysis does not end in uncertainty –
but will continue responsibly.

  • sports medicine-based testing procedures
  • structured classification of the results
  • clear recommendation in case of abnormalities

What AXIS is consciously not

AXIS is not a fitness test or performance diagnostics.

Our focus is not on jump heights or individual values –
but rather on the structural resilience of the game. The goal is not a number. The goal is a clear assessment with concrete recommendations for action.

  • no isolated performance tests
  • no medical diagnosis
  • no therapy
WHY AXIS?

Structured analysis instead of isolated test results

AXIS combines sports medicine-based testing procedures with a structured analysis of stress tolerance in football. The focus is not on individual measurements, but on stress patterns that arise under training and match conditions.
These patterns often determine whether a player can handle stress stably – or develops an increased risk of injury in the long term.
AXIS translates the results into a clear assessment and concrete training priorities that can be used directly in everyday training.

When an analysis makes sense

Typical situations in which an analysis can be useful

A structured prevention analysis can be particularly helpful when physical development and training load coincide in youth football.
Especially during phases of intensive development, minor limitations in mobility, strength absorption or movement control can have a long-term impact on resilience.
An analysis helps to identify these patterns early and to adapt training accordingly.

Growth and development

During periods of intense growth, movement mechanics and load processing often change significantly.
An analysis can help to identify potential risk patterns early and adjust training accordingly.

Recurring complaints

If muscular problems or minor malfunctions occur repeatedly, a structured analysis can provide clues to underlying stress patterns.
This allows potential causes to be addressed more effectively.

Pre-season preparation or training change

Many clubs use prevention analyses before the start of the season or when there are changes in the training volume.
This allows training priorities to be adjusted early on.

Ambitious players

Players with a high training volume or additional athletic training particularly benefit from a structured assessment of their resilience.
The analysis helps to guide development in a stable, long-term manner.

Who is behind AXIS

Dr. Jürgen Walther

AXIS Prevention Systems was founded by Dr. Jürgen Walther developed.
His background connects Performance football, biomedicine and data-driven analysis.

Dr. Walther went through all the youth Bayernliga teams (U15–U19) and subsequently played in the 4th league.

Today he works as Lead Data Scientist at Knauf and works professionally in data analysis and AI systems.
In addition, he was Data and video analyst at FV 04 Würzburg.

With AXIS, he combines sports medicine insights, practical football experience and structured performance analysis.
Goal:
Making injury risks in youth football visible early – before they become a problem.

Fundamentals of axis

What AXIS is built on

AXIS combines three perspectives to create a structured prevention system in youth football.

competitive football

Experience from performance-oriented youth and men's football creates an understanding of training reality, workload and development in everyday football life.

Sports medicine

The analysis is based on sports medicine findings and is professionally classified through collaboration with sports medicine specialists.

Data-based analysis

Measurement data is analyzed in a structured manner and interpreted in an understandable way, so that concrete recommendations for training and development can be derived.

AXIS Prevention Systems

A practical system for the structured assessment of resilience and possible risk patterns in youth football.

Prevention begins before the failure.

Anyone who wants to manage stress needs to know resilience.
AXIS helps players, parents and clubs to identify physical risks early and to adapt training accordingly.
The analysis is aimed at youth players in performance-oriented football (approx. U13–U19).
